Dorothy Zhao
Dorothy (Okemos, MI) is a senior at Michigan State where she will graduate in three years with 3 Bachelor’s degrees in Neuroscience, Psychology and Human Biology (writing two separate honors theses); she currently has a perfect record, 2 peer-reviewed publications, is a research assistant in three laboratories, and is both a member of MSU’s Honors College and the research-focused Wielenga Scholars Program within that College. She holds leadership roles in ten different campus societies on topics ranging from biomedical engineering to invasive plant species removal. Called “extraordinarily high-achieving,” Dorothy has a strong interest in deep-brain stimulation and implantable devices for psychiatric conditions and previously held a research assistantship in Oxford’s Functional Neurosurgery group. She wishes to read for a DPhil in Surgical Sciences on the Marshall.
