Allyson (Ally) Burba, an Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) student with a minor in Philosophy, graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy as a 4-time national skydiving medalist with the Air Force’s parachute team, the Wings of Blue. As a Stamps Scholar, Ally researched how women affect and are affected by security and policy. Ally also helped develop a gaze-controlled wheelchair system designed to provide autonomy to those with disabilities. With the Marshall Scholarship, Ally plans to pursue a Master’s degrees in Gender and Politics. Ally will then serve as a combat pilot in the U.S. Air Force.
