Marshall Sherfield Fellow Jason earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine and then attended Georgia Tech to earn a Ph.D. and thaw out. His graduate research in the Specialty Separations Center focused on green chemistry and environmentally benign processing by focusing on replacing industrial chemical solvents with less harmful alternatives. He plans to spend the fellowship year at Imperial College in London studying advanced catalytic processing in sustainable systems. He is also looking forward to spending time exploring the English countryside.
