Mr Simon Morris
Simon Morris was Secretary and Registrar of Keele University from August 1997 to December 2011. As such he was the Head of the University Administration and Secretary to the University Council and Senate. A graduate of Durham University, he joined Keele after a long career in the Royal Air Force.
Within the Royal Air Force, Simon Morris had a wide experience of facilities and estate management, personnel management and financial management and planning. He is a graduate of the Advanced Staff Course of the Royal Air Force Staff College and a Fellow of the British Institute of Facilities Management.
Simon is now a self-employed consultant specialising in Higher Education management and business development.
In his spare time Simon is the treasurer of a Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) group in Cheshire and he is a Trustee of the Staffordshire Community Foundation.
Married with three sons, Simon Morris is a keen golfer and a passionate follower of football, particularly Stoke City. His eldest son lives and works in Colorado and recently became a US citizen.
