Max Pushkin, from Briarcliff, New York, is currently studying International and Public Affairs with an Emphasis in Security and Brown University. Max has worked extensively with the International Rescue Committee in refugee resettlement which included aiding in the processing and resettlement mission of over 13,000 newly arrived Afghan refugees in Fort Dix, NJ in 2021. He was also the Deputy Campaign Manager for the Will Cunningham for Congress Campaign which ignited interest in the campaign world. He was part of the College Democrats of Rhode Island executive board, an editor for the Brown Political Review, and a bass guitarist in numerous theater productions at Brown. With his Marshall Scholarship, he plans to first attend the University of Oxford for an MSc degree in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, and then move to the University of St Andrews for a MLitt degree in International Security Studies.
