Kyrolos Georgey

Kyrolos I. Georgey, from Tinley Park, Illinois, is a senior at the United States Air Force Academy, where he majors in Aeronautical Engineering and minors in Russian. Kyrolos immigrated to the U.S. from Egypt, a journey inspired by the Arab Spring pro-democracy protests of 2011. He has extensive international research experience. A Stamps Scholar, Kyrolos has conducted hypersonics research at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom; studied Russian at Daugavpils University, Latvia; and has completed hypersonics research in Southeast Asia. With a passion for foreign languages and cultures, Kyrolos speaks four languages. He is founder and president of the Strategic Lecture Series Program, which provides the 4,000 cadets at the Air Force Academy with a forum for learning about the unique challenges they will face as future military leaders. Kyrolos also founded and currently serves as president of the National Coptic Charity Inc, a non-profit intended to provide students in the Middle East with the opportunity to attend higher education. 

As a Marshall Scholar, Kyrolos plans to attend the University of Oxford where he hopes to study for an MSc in Engineering Science.
