Kyle Swanson

Kyle graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering and in Mathematics and a minor in Music. He also received an M.Eng. in Computer Science and Engineering. During his studies, he helped develop a machine learning model that can analyze mammograms and accurately assess breast density, an important risk factor for breast cancer. He also spent 4 weeks in 2018 teaching an introductory machine learning course to 20 students at Suleyman Demirel University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. As a Marshall Scholar, Kyle will attend the University of Cambridge to earn a MASt in Mathematical Statistics and a MPhil in Computational Biology.
