Katie Pascavis, from Bloomington, Illinois, is currently attending Arizona State University pursuing a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering and a BA degree in Global Health. Katie has been a student researcher at the Nanotechnology-Enabled Water Treatment Center, assisting with projects around utilizing side-emitting UV optical fibers for water treatment. She has worked as a Sustainability and Impact Analyst for Biomass Controls PBC and co-founded the Global Resolve Club at Barrett, the Honors College. Katie is currently a representative to the Global 4-H Youth Committee in addition to being co-President of her Engineers Without Borders Chapter. As a Marshall Scholar, Katie will pursue an MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development degree at the University of Cambridge in addition to an MSc degree in Water, Sanitation, and Health Engineering at the University of Leeds.
