Clare Heinbaugh, from Springfield, Virginia, is currently working towards her BSc degree in Computer Science from the College of William & Mary. Clare is a Stamp 1693 scholar as well as a winner of the International COMAP Competition, an Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (ICM), to develop and advance interdisciplinary problem-solving skills as well as competence in written communication. She, alongside two other students, placed in the top four teams out of over 26,000 and had her work published in The UMAP Journal of Undergraduate Mathematics and Its Applications. Clare founded the Google Developer Student Club at William and Mary and is part of the Birdlife International’s Key Biodiversity Area project. As a Marshall Scholar, Clare will apply for an MPhil in Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence: Human Computer Interface Track from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Human-Computer Interaction from University College London.
