Robby Hill, from Easthampton, Massachusetts, is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ethics, Politics and Economics at Yale University. In a senior capstone for the Multidisciplinary Academic Program in Human Rights (MAPHR), an undergraduate certificate program at Yale Law School, Robby is focussing on recent legislative proposals to codify a human right to housing in California’s State Constitution.

From late 2020 through May 2021, Robby was the outreach coordinator for DesegregateCT, a statewide coalition that advocates for better land use and zoning reform for Connecticut communities. As a recipient of funding from Yale University’s Frank W. Patterson Fellowship for political science research, Robby interned with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) in Boston in 2022, where he researched inclusionary zoning policies designed to produce affordable housing.

For four years, Robby sang baritone in the Yale Glee Club, Yale University’s principal undergraduate choir.

As a Marshall Scholar, Robby will pursue a taught MPhil in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation at the University of Oxford
