Mary Olson is from Excelsior, Minnesota and graduated from Columbia University with Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Human Rights. Since graduating, she has worked as a Senior Research Analyst at the Brattle Group, a global economic consulting firm, on competition litigations, securities class actions, and pro-bono projects. She also conducted human rights research on health and sanitation rights at Columbia University and has published academic articles in leading health and human rights journals relating to menstruation and stigma. As a Marshall Scholar, Mary will spend her two years at the London School of Economics and Political Science first studying Economic History followed by Econometrics and Mathematical Economics.
