Kyle (Sellersburg, IN) is a Summa Cum Laude 2023 graduate of Indiana University, where he earned a BA in International Studies and Slavic & East European Languages and Cultures with minors in Russian & East European Studies, World Political Systems, and Intelligence Studies- an exceptionally heavy and complex courseload which included a year abroad in Kazakhstan in intensive language and regional study. Kyle is particularly interested in nuclear strategy and non-proliferation, and has held a Boren Scholarship for his abilities in Russian and related Slavic languages and is currently a Scoville Peace Fellow at the Nuclear Threat Initiative. He served as an Undergraduate Non-Proliferation Fellow at the James Martin Center for Non-Proliferation Studies; won a Russian Flagship Internship at the Nuclear Technology Safety Center in Almaty, Kazakhstan; participated in the Atomic Legacy Study Program in Vienna; and completed the Kissinger Summer Academy Study Program at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in nuclear strategy. An Eagle Scout, he has an extensive list of conference presentations and peer-reviewed papers, and was called “one of the most accomplished, well-rounded, and focused students” seen at IU. Kyle proposes to read for two taught Master’s, one in National Security Studies and the next in Strategic Studies
