Kendra (Gibbon, MN) is a senior at Notre Dame majoring in Art History (Honors) and Global Affairs, with a minor in Italian. Described as “one of the most talented and intellectually promising students” encountered at Notre Dame, she has won numerous awards including a Beinecke Scholarship; worked as a curatorial intern at the Whitney Museum of American Art; held multiple longitudinal research assistantships and public teaching roles at the Snite Museum of Art and Raclin Murphy Museum of Art in Indiana; worked as a scientific guest at the Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History in Rome; published widely on art history problems; and volunteered on campus and in the community. Kendra is strongly interested in the art of the African diaspora and wishes to undertake two taught Master’s on the Marshall: firstly, the history of design from within Britain’s art and museum schools, and secondly in African Studies.
