Claire graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a B.S. in biology. She will study chemical communication between harmful algae species and bacteria at UHI-SAMS. While an undergraduate, Claire participated in research focused on environmental microbiology and chemical ecology. She was named a Goldwater Scholar, DAAD-RISE Fellow, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She enjoys swimming, hiking, and scuba diving.
