Alice Easton, 2012 Scholar, Imperial College London

AliceeastonI am in the first year of a PhD program in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at Imperial College London, studying the population dynamics of intestinal worms. It has been an amazing experience to get to know on a personal level the brilliant, easy-going people who made some of the discoveries that inspired me to pursue my interest in this field. Outside of the office, I’ve enjoyed attempting to learn to play cricket, performing with other bharatanatyam dancers in the annual show of the Imperial College Indian Society, pub quizzes and game nights with colleagues, lunchtime runs around Hyde Park, biking to work, and searching for the best falafel wrap near my office in Paddington.
